Job Profile
Our client is currently recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant in their Japan Branch office, to work closely with the Non-Life Underwriting team and to receive training on the job. You have a passion for learning, huge curiosity and strong interests in developing a career in reinsurance and underwriting.

Main Tasks
· Filing and management of reinsurance contracts
· Assist in performing contract document comparisons
· Assist in business tracking; client submission information/data download and electronic storage in respective sites
· Quality assurance of Information storage (electronic files/folders)
· Assist in various underwriting and portfolio management tasks including simple analytics
· Generating reports from in-house systems, data processing
· Ad-hoc translation tasks (Japanese/English), ad-hoc market research
· Provide assistance to internal Underwriting visitors who may require assistance
· Assist coordination with regional Underwriting team and Underwriting managers
· Management of team calendar and provide support to meeting arrangement/coordination
Requirements (Education/Competences and Experience)
· University degree (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
· Microsoft Office suite capabilities (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, preferable if experience in Power BI, Access, VBA, programming.)
· Fluency in Japanese with good spoken/written Business English
· Meticulous, eager to learn and a strong team-player
· A self-starter who is self-motivated and a good problem solver
· Able to work independently while not hesitating to seek for guidance when necessary
