Our client is an international non-profit organisation addressing the problem of unsustainable fishing, and safeguarding seafood supplies for the future.

They are looking for a Japanese Speaking Ecolabel Account Officer in the London Head Office.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Licensing (Main duty) - providing licences to eligible organisations wishing to use the ASC label and MSC ecolabel;

 

Their logo and ecolabel use approval (Main duty) - approving the use of their logo and ecolabel on all products and product-specific marketing material, ensuring the processing of these trademark use requests are reviewed and recorded efficiently and accurately on their database;

 

Turnover declarations (Main duty) - requesting and processing turnover declarations (sales/purchase statements) from licensees, ensuring their royalty revenue can be invoiced accurately and in a timely manner by efficient processing of turnover declaration data;

 

Customer relations (Overarching duty) – they must ensure all issues related to their logo and ecolabel are being managed and are a mutual benefit to the scheme and the licensees; solutions to any issues should be found within the agreed licensing policies, however, when necessary, issues need to be escalated to the Ecolabel Account Manager;

 

Reporting (Minor duty) - they provides regular updates and reports on product and licensee numbers in the program, as well as graphs on turnover declaration data and product growth. Appropriate guidance from the Ecolabel Account manager will be provided;

 

Policy and projects (Minor duty) – The above dimensions of the role need to be streamlined, with official policies written, collaborated on and communicated. These tasks are designated by the Team Manager and the Finance Director. Appropriate guidance from the Ecolabel Account Manager will be provided

 

Skills / Knowledge:

 

                    Fluent English and Japanese, both spoken and written, is essential; an additional relevant language would also be a great advantage;

                    Knowledge of third party certification schemes and the role of ecolabelling;

                    Demonstrable experience with contact management software and other databases;

                    Excellent organisational and administrative skills;

                    Well-developed IT skills, including good use of standard software packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Adobe Acrobat);

                    Experience preparing and delivering presentations and reports;

                    Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential;

                    Experience of successfully cultivating relationships with colleagues and clients, with a people-centred approach to business and work;
