Service Engineer


Job profile

French branch of an internationally renowned Japanese manufacturing company is looking for a skilled and motivated Service Engineer.


Reporting to

Reporting to the head of Maintenance Service Department


Contract Details

Initially 1-year CDD contract, with a CDI (permanent) extension option at the end of initial term.

Probationary period: 3 months.


Main Responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, you will be expected to perform a variety of duties in relation with maintenance and sales of the company’s machinery and other products, such as spare parts. You will also have an opportunity to visit the customers located, with business trips to Europe and Japan to be expected for a successful candidate.


·         Machine installation

·         Machine repairs and maintenance

·         Sales of spare parts and any ad-hoc duties related to sales

·         Issuance and organization of machinery and business documentation


Required Skills and Experience

Experience or willingness to work in a production factory environment

Availability for business trips within Europe and to Japan

Experience in electrical machine maintenance

OR knowledge of (ideally a degree in) electrical engineering

Some Japanese language ability would be beneficial – please see below.


Language Requirements

Business level proficiency in both French and English is required.

Additionally, some level of proficiency in Japanese is welcome but not required.



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent



€30,000 - €40,000 per annum. Bonuses paid based on company performance.



Paris suburbs (travel zone 3)



Mon – Fri 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Hours may be subject to slight change based on projects undertaken.



Candidates must be eligible to work in France without any restrictions as no Visa support can be provided.
