Title:

 

Japanese Speaking Trader

 

Salary:

 

£25,000 - £35,000 per annum depending on experience

 

 

Specific Duties:

·         Review contract documentation before escalation to COO

 

·         Liaise with other offices, customers and suppliers ensuring a smooth execution

·         Checking shipments and necessary documentations

·         Checking Credit Line Schedule with most recent updates

·         Checking Contract Book with most recent updates

 

·         Checking Order Status with most recent updates

·         Assist with collecting inquiries as required

·         Assist with making offers as required

·         Assist with meetings and customer/supplier calls and visits as required

·         Assist in preparation of presentations as required

 

·         Following up with customers and suppliers on daily basis

·         Support business development activities under the direction of the COO

·         Key client liaison assisting with enquiries and order queries

·         Using Japanese supplier’s online system for making and receiving enquiries

·         Liaising with Japanese supplier’s counterpart

Key Skills/Experience:

·         Professional written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English and Japanese languages

·         Experience of customer relationship management / development

·         University Degree or overseas equivalent in a relevant subject

 

·         Demonstrable experience of working in an international trading company and/or similar business environment

 

·         Demonstrable experience of working under pressure

·         Proactive approach to all work and problem solving attitude

·         Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

 

·         Excellent organisation and time management skills

·         Experience in order follow up and execution 

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst being mindful of different time zones and their impact on operations

·         Experience of customer relationship management / development

·         Experience of establishing and building relationships with suppliers, sourcing new suppliers as required

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to intermediate level

·         Flexibility to undertake overseas travel as and when required

 

Desirable (but not essential):

·         Knowledge and understanding of Japanese and Western cultures

·         Previous experience of front office operations

 

·         Experience of Japanese culture in a business context

·         Previous experience and understanding of aerospace/defence markets
