Settlements Clerk (Full Time)

 

Salary

£24,000 per annum

 

Job Profile

Our client is a well-established Japanese financial institution and they are seeking an experienced administrator in finance to carry out day-to-day administrative tasks and to assist the Settlements Officer in controlling operational workflow within the department

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Update daily trades and settlement data on the banking system

 

  • Reconcile trades, statements and fees using various systems and statements

 

  • Deal with corporate actions, agreeing with counterparties and Client 

 

  • Correspond and deal with Clients/counterparties as appropriate

 

  • Ensure company and standards procedures are followed

 

  • Prepare reconciliations, reports, control files and audit trails as necessary

 

  • Assist Settlements Officer and Managing Director as requested

 

Who we are looking for

 

·       Excellent communication skills (speaking, writing and reading) in English required, Japanese language skills are advantage

 

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience in administrative tasks of banking required; understanding of banking settlement and corporate action preferable

 

·       Working skills of major PC applications, such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
