45 hours per week; 5 days

Main Responsibilities

Production of food within designated section, being knowledgeable of all dishes, menus and recipes, especially within your section

Supervision of junior chefs and checking of dishes before they are sent

Stock control and inventory procedures, reporting any irregularities to the Head Chef

Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the ordering of food items for your section

Identify opportunities to improve the profitability of your section

Ensure the effective use of utilities and equipment, reporting any issues at the earliest opportunity

Carry out on the job training for all employees within your section, completing any relevant training records

Work in closely with all sections of the kitchen and Front of House team, in order to ensure efficient service to guests

Other general, every-day work duties



A formal catering qualification (e.g. City & guilds)

Knowledge of health & safety legislation, food & hygiene and COSHH & HACCP

Experience in a similar role.

Communication skills

Confident in a fast-paced situation, dealing with other ches/departments



Fluent English


Must be already eligible to work in UK, YMS welcome
