Main Responsibilities
· Acting as a liaison between suppliers and clients, distributing the product
· Developing and maintaining the business, including retention of existing business
· Receiving enquiries and negotiate with shipping companies and suppliers on terms and conditions and calculating estimates
· Visiting potential and existing suppliers/clients in the UK and overseas such as Paris, Milan and Aberdeen to help expand the business
· Reporting to HQ in Japan
Who we are looking for
Essential:
· (Relevant) work experience in UK
· Willingness to undertake travel within the UK and overseas
· Knowledge of Word and Excel to at least intermediate level
· Team player
· Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, methodical and professional
· High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent negotiation and time management skills
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work in a multicultural environment
· English+Norwegian and/or French
Desirable
· Ability to establish and build relationships with existing customers and new contacts
· Experience of logistics and vessel bookings
· Experience of preparing shipping documentation
· A good knowledge of all aspects of the Steel /oil and gas
· Previous tubular sales experience
· Work experience in a company with international operations
Salary and Benefits
£25,000-£30,000 (depending on the experience)
Hours
Mon-Fri 9:00am to 5:00pm
