Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Account Manager for a Japanese manufacturer to cope with the increased amount of work predicted in UK/EU as they are now ready to start developing/working with the UK & EU.

Employment Status/ Salary

There are two approaches for this role: 

1) This role is commission-based only and can be carried out as a side job.

*Starting from the point of first sale, the commission will be 70% of sales for 6 month. After that, it will be 15% of sales.

2) This is a paid fulltime job with a salary of £63,100 per year + commissions.

*Starting from the point of first sale, the commission will be 25% of sales for 6 month. After that, it will be 20% of sales.

Main Roles

-Promoting their mobile lighting towers for construction to end users or rental companies.

-Finding new clients.

-Approaching clients and presenting company products.

-Maintaining good communication with existing clients.


Main Responsibilities

-Identifying and Explaining the differences between other companies’ products with the use of system design documentation, specifications, and physical demonstrations of how the product works (Training will be provided).

-Explaining the benefits of using their products over a competitor’s product.

-Developing multi-functional and multi-level business relationships with client’s organizations.

-Being a mediator between clients and the Japanese team to resolve issues as and when they happen.

-Achieving the sales target within the agreed period.

-Product demonstrations at night.



-At least 35 years’ experience of Account Management in the construction equipment industry.

-Having contacts within the rental construction equipment industry.

-Fluent in written and spoken English.

-Japanese, German, and French would be beneficial.


Report to

Head of Overseas Operations Division.



The successful candidate must have permission to work in UK, France, or the Netherlands at the start of employment.
