A Japanese global Culture Home are looking for Part Time HR Specialist.
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY DUTIES
§ Develop and implement the HR function to ensure that employees are developed and support managers in ensuring employees are fully aligned and motivated by the company’s objectives and brand through high quality performance.
§ Champion communication of the HR strategy; initiatives; policies and procedures across the business. Lead and help to drive change projects as required to generate and deliver continuous improvement within the function and business.
§ Support managers regarding compensation and benefits packages (with support from Finance); contribute to structural reviews; manage employee wellness initiatives.
§ Be a trusted partner for employees and managers who gives sound advice.
§ Work closely with and supply accurate information in a timely manner as required, the human resources service provider thus ensuring they lead their team with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive and productive environment to ensure best service for the Company.
§ Oversee the appointment of high calibre employees and monitor competence within the organisation.
§ Meet all statutory, legal obligations and best practise.
§ Ensure the sound implementation of the company’s performance output system (nearing finalisation), thereby enabling all employees to have a high level of understanding and engagement with the company’s values and objectives.
§ Ensure appropriate advice and guidance is given to managers and employees as required thus ensuring all employees understand their obligations to provide compliance and governance.
§ Develop leadership and coaching programmes to increase employee effectiveness.
§ Provide efficiencies through the delivery and optimisation of HRIS (PeopleHR).
§ Establish effective data and reporting measures which inform and drive strategy and recommendations for change.
§ Develop strong and influential relationships within the business and externally to understand best practice and influence future development of the function.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
§ Requires a div of professional knowledge and experience
§ Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) – full or part qualified
§ Degree within a similar discipline
Knowledge
§ 3-5 years experience in an HR role in a similarly diverse environment
§ Proven analytical thinking, problem solving skills and influential communications skills (both written and oral) with attention to detail
§ Will probably have operated in a similar Japanese environment in a strategic role or have a working knowledge of Japanese environment including a variety of aspects of Japanese art and culture
§ Ability to prioritize and manage a number of projects at one time under pressure
§ Show excellent interpersonal skills and experience of dealing with people at all levels
§ Flexibility and willingness to be involved in all aspects of the company’s activities when necessary
§ Evidence of core IT literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and HR systems
Experience
§ 3-5 years’ experience working in a busy cultural environment
§ A track record demonstrating significant progression
§ A solid track record of success supporting cross functional teams
§ Proven track record in managing external relationships
§ Strategic thinker, experience of converting strategy into detailed operational plans
§ Outstanding project management skills, meticulously well organised and reliable
§ Effective collaborator, able to work with colleagues across the organisation to design and embed systems and processes which meet our needs
CAPABILITIES
§ Excellent written and spoken English, proficient to high business language standard is essential
§ Other language skills, including Japanese, are advantageous
§ Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and make good decisions
§ A participative team player with an inclusive approach towards all colleagues
§ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
§ Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills
§ Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, whilst paying attention to detail
