Main Responsibilities

  • Visit existing and new customers to finding their interests, issues, and aspirations
  • Analyse, simulate, make proposals to improve existing and future timetables
  • Communicate with both customers and internal teams in UK and Japan
  • Be a key bridge builder with local knowledge
  • Develop and maintain digital twin and collect data sources from Network Rail, TOCs, and other possible railway industry related companies.
  • Based on the request from Tokyo team, research the necessary information, regulations, and train planning rules to report to the team.
  • Support marketing and promotional events
  • Attend conferences, exhibitions, and meetings to create relationships with railway industry stake holders
  • Other duties as agreed


  • Experience in train planning experience (LTP and STP), performance analytics, time-table simulation or modelling role in Network Rail, consultant for Railway sector
  • Timetable software operation skills
  • Interest in or have knowledge of Japanese business culture and language
  • Excellent knowledge about UK railway operation
  • Basic knowledge of Network Rail Train planning systems
  • Good PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


  • Ability to exercise judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ambition for applying new methodology for Train planning
  • Proactive and cooperative work style for remote project team base working
