Job Title: Accounts Assistant and Administrator
Reporting to: Managing Director/Accounting Manager
Location: City of London
Start Date: 25th February 2026

End date: Scheduled for the end of September. 
After completing the one‑month probation period, the role will be hybrid, working 3 days per week.

Accounting Duties :
• Accounts payable and receivable administration
 o Accounts receivable – generating sales invoices, posting receipts daily basis,
reconciliation, review aged debtors
 o Accounts payable – inputting suppliers invoices, staff expense, posting payments
daily basis, reconciliation
• Inputting accruals and prepayments
• Multi-currency bank reconciliation
• Supporting to produce financial statements (BS, PL), income statement, cash flow statement
• Assist accounting reports to the Managing Director and Marubeni Head Office in Japan.
• Assistance in audits (internal/external: statutory audit, CASS 5 audit)
• Supporting corporation tax, VAT returns
• Supporting FCA reports
• Supporting new system implementation

IT Duties :
• Raising IT issues to Europe IT dept
• Supporting IT assessment
• Assistance with day-to-day use of the systems

General Administrative:
• Maintain entertainment costs
• Support for board meetings
• Maintaining fixed assess and inventory check (low volume)
• Maintain company rules and regulations
• Supporting KYC, credit limits

Projects :
• Creating manuals of the daily duties (accounting & compliance related)
• Advisory and improving a reporting and analysing method of budget/forecast/actual
financial results
• Advisory on improvement of accounting flows etc to increase efficiency of workflows
• Advisory on tax, cashflow, DIVA, transfer pricing
Any other tasks as may be requested by MD in order to meet the operational need of the business
that are deemed to be within the job holder’s sphere of competence.
