A Japanese petroleum company is looking for an enthusiastic Fuel Oil Trader. Their businesses include exploration, importation, and refining of crude oil; the manufacture and sale of petroleum products, including fuels and lubricants; and other energy-related activities.


Job Description:

As a Fuel Oil Trader, you will be responsible for independently trading fuel oil commodities, managing a portfolio, and making critical trading decisions. Your expertise in market analysis, risk management, and negotiation will be crucial in maximizing profitability and minimizing risks. You will be expected to identify market trends, develop trading strategies, and build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Independently trade fuel oil commodities in domestic and international markets.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profit margins while managing risks.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing dynamics, and geopolitical factors affecting the energy market.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and brokers.
  • Manage a portfolio of fuel oil contracts, monitoring and adjusting positions as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful fuel oil trading and risk management.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy markets, derivatives, and trading strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in trading software, market analysis tools, and data analysis.

Hours

35 hours per week
7 hours per day between 08.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch
