Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer (Japanese speaking)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
System Integration Project
- Conduct system integration tasks for small-to-mid-sized projects, both on-site and off-site, for our company and customers.
- Perform system environment assessments and create site manuals.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Transfer knowledge of customer environments and newly implemented settings to service desk engineers.
- Adhere to customers' IT policies and ensure all recommendations align with them.
- Lead and support other engineers within the team.
Service Desk
- Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and online ticketing systems.
- Accurately diagnose and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Deliver 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support for customers, as well as internal users, as part of Service
Desk Operations.
- Maintain support-related documentation, including site manuals, asset lists, and user guides.
- Proactively work to ensure efficient case resolution and high customer satisfaction.
- Act as an escalation point for small-midsized customers for our Support Team, assisting in complex
issue resolution
System maintenance services
- Maintain customer systems on a regular and/or on demand basis.
- Present at the customer’s office on a regular and/or on demand basis.
- Maintain support related documents (e.g. Site manual, Asset List, User Manual, etc.).
- Maintain licenses and run inventory regularly.
- Registration of manufacturers’ support services such as Care Pack, etc.
Third-party management
- Manage third-party vendors in helpful manner. Build partnerships for the long term.
- Represent to third-party vendors on behalf of customers
- Manage and control service and product delivery of third-party vendors.
Customer management
- Manage customers’ requirements and wishes for both technical and non-technical.
- Maintain a good customer relationship.
- Research new products and services
Leadership
- Assist and educate new staff members
- Supervise and get all staff to keep IT goods secure and tidy
- Lead junior and senior engineers with a high level of knowledge and experience
Pre-sales
- Assist pre-sales activities
- Present pre-sales document/proposal to customers co-working with sales department
Required Skills
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Cisco switch and router design and implementation.
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in firewall design and implementation.
- Experience in LAN network design and implementation, including ISP coordination.
- Multi-site VPN implementation experience.
- Proficiency in creating network design documentation (e.g., network diagrams, IP address lists).
- Experience with Windows services, including Active Directory (AD), DHCP, DNS, Group Policy (GPO), print queues,
and shared folders.
- Knowledge of server and storage technologies in both physical and virtual environments.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Cisco CCNP certification.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud services, including IaaS and PaaS solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS)
