Job profile

A Japanese Global manufacturing company is looking for a Service Manager, who will be responsible to deliver high levels of customer service, improve customer satisfaction by driving KPI's and cost efficiency, and will manage the subordinate teams. He/she will also install, repair, maintain, and relocate their medical diagnostic equipment in the point of care and clinical laboratory environment, utilizing their technical knowledge of diagnostic systems handling mainly the western half of Spain.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage service contracts with the company’s customers to ensure customer satisfaction as well as their profitability.
  • Ensure the department operates in accordance with company policies and following standard process. Manage the Service Team by managing the Customer Service budget and defining Customer Service KPI´s.
  • Produce oversight and guidance to the field services team to effectively manage complex workflows, including the efforts of sub-contractors or third parties related with external   technical service.                                       
  • Perform service activities efficiently and effectively as requested (including but not limited to installation, operator training, preventive maintenance, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, adjustments, calibrations, alignments, and part replacement) and ensure on-going effectiveness.
  • Develop spare parts inventory requirements for primary warehouse, depot, and trunk stock.
  • Contribute to the sales of service products to meet revenue goals.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and improve service outcomes by delivering speedy and highquality service. Act as a trusted advisor to the company’s customers by understanding customer needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Act as technical liaison between the company in Japan and the company in Iberia for new and existing instruments.
  • Review service manual documentation to ensure accuracy and current revision levels and translate these documents into local language when the need arises.
  • Maintain Device History Records and monitor modification and software upgrade status.
  • Review failure trend analysis data for each product assigned. Identify failure trends and report them to management for resolution.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge pertaining to service activities described by attending educational classes as required and reviewing technical bulletins.
  • Provide ongoing training and education to the field services team to ensure its ability to diagnose, repair, maintain, and improve the deployment and operation of the company’s product.

Qualifications
 
  • Degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical diagnostic
  • equipment used in a laboratory setting.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of field service management or project management experience is
required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work on a flexible work schedule.
  • Valid Driver’s license

Location
 
  • We are looking for 1 Service Manager to mainly cover the North region of Spain except for Galicia, Asturias and other regions of Iberia as well.
