Job Description:
- Technical: Demonstrate knowledge of building and construction standards and regulations, and contribute to design solutions.
- Technical: Survey of project sites before and during construction. Contribute to as-built documents and drawings post-construction
- Technical: Check sub-contractors’ design drawings, specifications, and answer suppliers’ technical submittals or material approval requests.
- Technical: Co-ordinate with architectural designers, MEP designers, other designers and maintenance engineers, and avoid the clash of deliverables.
- Client management: Raise technical queries (TQs) and/or request for information (RFI) during the tender/design/construction stage.
- Client management: Co-ordinate with the client/tenants/building management regarding security, logistical and other activities during the construction stage
- Sub-contractor management: Ensure the Works are conducted as per the agreed construction drawing and specifications
- Sub-contractor management: Co-ordinate with the sub-contractors to ensure there are no clashes of activities, including any 3rd party activities.
- Quality management: Ensure the Works are well recorded, including the witnessing and documenting of any testing and inspection as per the agreed intervals and regime.
- Quality management: Ensure all design changes are discussed and agreed well before execution, and recorded.
- Safety management: Demonstration of current up to date H&S regulations, undertake H&S inspections and highlight areas for improvement.
- Safety management: Undertake toolbox talks to site operatives, site inductions and check the risk assessments and method statements.
- Project Management: Assist the Project Manager with the production of construction programmes and cost estimates and variations.
- General: Works entail occasional out of works attendance of sites, including evening and weekend working.
