Working hours: 9:00 - 17:30, Mon to Fri (37.5 hours working a week)

Responsibility
As the management accountant / Office Manager, you will be responsible for the month-end management accounts, cash flow, forecasting, day-to-day office management and involvement in all parts of running a small office. This role will work directly with the MD and General Sales Manager.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management
  • Government reporting, VAT Return etc.
  • Management Accounts and Reports
  • Monthly/Quarterly/Year end close
  • Processes expenses and invoices
  • Maintain records and support auditing efforts
  • Payroll Preparation, PAYE & NI recording.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets
  • Monthly Stock Control Management
  • Assist in Annual Budget Preparation
  • Assists with and help organise and audit the company's systems, databases, and procedures
  • Being fluent in English & Japanese, both verbal and written would be a distinct advantage.
  • Answers general emails and postal correspondence with customers and suppliers
  • Creates budgets and orders office supplies
  • Files and archives accurate records
  • Assist with health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office
  • Assist with negotiations and manages office insurance contracts
  • Manages the customer complaint procedure
  • Ad hoc duties when necessary

Qualification
  • Experience in Month-end closing and making BS/PL sheets are a must
  • Able to commute to the office in Basingstoke, Hampshire 5 days a week
  • Vailed working visa in the UK
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
  • Experience in cash flow financial forecasting would be preferable
  • Understanding of financial regulations and legislation would be preferable
  • Knowledge of business strategy and methodology would be preferable
  • Analytical skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good academic records
  • Accounting-related qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, AAT or similar qualification is a plus
  • Good computer skills such as Excel (v lookup and h lookup, sumif function, pivot tables etc.), word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SAGE 200C Accounting Software would be preferable
