▼Position Overview
This position plays a key role within the Finance team, handling a wide range of responsibilities including accounting, management accounting, internal controls, audit support, and budgeting.
The role also requires close collaboration with the Business Team, particularly in Asset Management and Project Development, to support overall financial operations.
This is a maternity cover role for approximately 1 to 1.3 years.

Contract Period: Approximately 1 year to 1 year and 3 months
Maternity leave coverage: estimated 9–12 months

▼Work Arrangement
During probation (first 3 months): On-site work every day
After probation: Hybrid work model (up to 2 days remote per week)
▼Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Prepare management accounts and financial reports
Input journal entries and support monthly/annual closing
Perform bank reconciliations
Prepare consolidation reporting packages
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Assist in preparing statutory accounts and tax returns
Oversee payments and invoicing (AP/AR) processes
Management Accounting / FP&A
Prepare annual budgets
Update financial forecasts on a regular basis
Analyze variances between budget, actuals, and forecast
Monitor progress toward budget targets
Prepare budget approval documents
Internal Control & Process Improvement
Support the assessment and enhancement of internal controls
Assist with audit-related tasks and inquiries
Business Support
Collaborate with Asset Management and Project Development teams
(Frequent communication with commercial/sales-side teams; business understanding beyond pure accounting is required)
Corporate & Administrative Support
Prepare board meeting materials
Manage corporate documentation and filing
Provide general administrative support to team members
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
Business-level English (both written and verbal)
Japanese language welcome (candidates with interest or familiarity with Japanese culture preferred)
UK work experience not required
