Position: Financial Administrator (Japanese Speaking)

Location: Hertfordshire (hybrid working)

Salary: up to GBP30K (depending on experience)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Submitting SAP-related codes in Japanese as requested by the Financial Controller.

  • Entering supplier invoices into the accounting system.

  • Preparing payment runs and processing ad hoc payments.

  • Issuing sales invoices and managing debt collection.

  • Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring alignment between SAP records and bank statements.

  • Posting month-end journal entries.

  • Recording and processing fixed assets.

  • Assisting with both internal and external annual audits.

  • Supporting the budgeting process.

  • Providing assistance with financial analysis.

  • Filing and archiving invoices.

  • Assisting with VAT return preparation.

  • Reviewing and processing employee expense claims.

  • Coordinating with the Japanese headquarters on approval procedures, contracts, IT matters, and other tasks as directed by managers.

  • Carrying out any other general financial administrative duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.

 

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • A highly experienced Administrator with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in both English and Japanese, including providing translation support.

  • Demonstrates strong accuracy and consistency in work.

  • Possesses basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as SUMIFS, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.

  • Knowledge of SAP and IBM Notes is advantageous but not required.

  • Able to prioritise tasks effectively, working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Well-organised with a proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.

  • Familiarity with the video gaming industry is desirable but not essential.
