Management Accountant

 

Job Purpose:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled experienced Management Accountant to join our finance
team. The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial
reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Past law firm experience highly
desirable.

 

Main Duties:
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and providing explanations to management.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with Legal & BD teams to establish financial targets.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
• Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
• Assist with compliance of SRA accounts rules in maintaining and reviewing client balances.
• Liaise with external auditors and assist in the annual audit process.
• Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

 

Person Specification:
-Qualified accountant is advantage (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
-English: Business level Essential
-Experience in a significant amount of the areas listed above
-Good knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

-High computer literacy
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Understanding of Asian culture may be useful
