The Role
The Project Assistant role is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity to gain experience in the Coordination & Administration Department of an international company.
The Project Assistant would be working as part of a small team which supports the Regional CEO and business teams, to provide temporary support for various projects including preparation for compliance with EU regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
This role may also involve business development support and assistance with organising events. This is a busy team that requires temporary support over the summer months.
Candidate Requirements Essential
• University graduate (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in roles that can demonstrate their research and
communication capabilities.
• Ability to research, summarise and communicate information clearly e.g. information
obtained from websites, webinars, meetings.
• Experience of handling data using Excel, e.g. aggregating, and analysing data from different sources, or preparing costings
• Preparing slides and presentation materials
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Flexible and proactive (candidates must be willing to support a variety of projects from
research to general office administration if required)
• Efficiency and attention to detail
• Good time management
• Excellent written and spoken English.
Desirable
• Understanding of UK/EU political systems and legislative processes
• Some knowledge of sustainability topics and legislation
• Japanese language skills are not an essential requirement for this role. However, some
knowledge of Japanese language and culture would be beneficial.
