Role Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join their organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing statutory and management accounts, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and supporting the wider business with financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
Bank payments, expense claims, data entry, basic accounting, basic payroll
Provide general administrative support to the team, including handling emails, phone calls, and correspondence
Maintain and update records, databases, and filing systems (digital and physical)
Assist with preparing documents, reports, and presentations
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and appointments
Support order processing, data entry, and updating internal systems
Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth communication
Manage office supplies, place orders, and coordinate with suppliers
Assist with onboarding tasks and general office operations as needed
Ensure all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time
Requirements
Previous experience in an administrative, office support, or coordination role
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Preferred Skills (Optional)Japanese speaking ability (only English is also OK)
