Title: Field Application Engineer

Salary: $80,000-100,000 / year (35h a week) + Overtime Payment + Bonus
Language: Fluency in English is a must. Japanese language would be a plus.
Job profiles
This position is responsible for providing related technical application support for the development and implementation of the company’s products on customer sites with sufficient technical and communication skills.
This level of Engineer possesses a deep understanding of best practices and works continuously to adapt them.
Main responsibilities
Application Engineering
• Interfacing software development and applications engineering team to provide solutions for product issues encountered at the customer site.
• Coordinate new feature requests from the customer with headquarters applications engineering to facilitate the development.
• Provide on-site customer technical training and generate best-known method documents, application notes, and other training materials.
• May provide over-the-phone consultation and advice to customers, may need to respond to emergency customer situations, or may schedule and repair the Company’s products at the customer site.
• Develop technical presentations and conduct demonstrations of the company’s products.
• Assisting sales staff in preparing product specifications and negotiating with customers on purchase specifications.
• Working together with field service engineers to give customer application support at the customer site in a timely manner, as well as installation of products and tool qualifications.
• Receives follow-up and additional training on Company products in Japan.
• Effectively communicates with Japan headquarters’ engineers regarding product applications and technical issues.
• Participates in customer meetings with the sales team to lead technical discussions.

Qualification

Valid working visa holder in the US or US citizen (Not acceptable Visa with expiration date such as OPT visa).

Above bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent combination of education and experience is a must.

Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, and other analysis software usage would be preferable.

Previous work experience in photomask inspections would be preferable.
