Job Title: Junior IT Manager (In house IT)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting & Support
Respond to IT-related incidents (PC, scanner, printer, laptops, iPhone).
Escalate complex cases to external vendors.
Conduct alert investigations and communicate resolutions to users.
IT Security incident follow up with users and head office.
Device Provision & Deployment
Procurement of IT equipment
Perform desktop, laptop, and iPhone setup (pre-configuration, app installation – Outlook, Teams, Google & Microsoft Authenticator).
Deliver devices to new joiners and provide usage briefings.
New-Joiner & Leaver Management
Request to create accounts, folders
Update device list, distribution-list for new hires.
Process email account creation/deletion requests to HQ.
Coordinate AD clean-up for departing employees
Coordinate hardware disposal
Hardware Disposal & Asset Management
Arrange disposal of de-commissioned equipment via the approved vendor.
Maintain a current inventory of all hardware assets.
Server Maintenance Desktop Maintenance
Schedule Windows updates for servers with vendor.
Windows updates and manage other application updates for users.
Coordinating with all users when required.
Project Support
Assist with IT-related projects (e.g., Intune rollout, Server upgrades, workflow implementation etc).
Manage internal IT projects
Act as the point-of-contact for vendors and internal stakeholders
Head-Office Liaison
Submit and track account-creation/deletion requests, IT-contract applications, and security-related inquiries to head office
Initiate annual security assessments, improvement-plan creation, and follow-up implementation
Produce monthly EDR detection reports and quarterly status briefings
Audit & Compliance & Governance
Keep device list, folder-access, distribution-list, email up-to-date.
Software license records up-to-date (annual reconciliation)
Manage access-log collection and other audit-ready artefacts
Manage annual asset check
Update policies, guidelines, and internal communications.
Support AI related governance policy
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical: Solid understanding of Windows OS, Servers, PC/Laptop, IT related office equipment and mobile device management. Basic knowledge of MS Intune is preferrable.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication in Japanese and English (to interact with HQ and external vendors).
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose, prioritize, and resolve a broad range of IT issues quickly.
Vendor Management: Experience coordinating with third-party IT service providers.
Security Awareness: Basic knowledge of information-security best practices, EDR solutions, and compliance requirements.
Organizational: Strong documentation habits (device inventories, access logs, checklist updates).
Project Orientation: Ability to support small-to-mid-scale IT projects and follow documented procedures.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 5+ years of IT support or help-desk experience, preferably in a corporate environment with global coordination.
Certifications (optional but advantageous): Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
Language: Business-level Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
