Position: Accountant

Job Description
- Review revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure accuracy of monthly bookkeeping
- Arrange payment with management authorization
- Prepare information for payroll submission
- Track invoices and payments to internal and external stakeholders
- Publish financial statements in time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Serve as liaision with third-party and external service providers
- Assist with (internal/external) financial and tax audit
- Assist with corporate reporting requirements
- Right to work (e.g. EU nationality, Dutch work permit)
- Business-level Dutch/English
- Minimum Bachelor’s or equivalent
- 2+ years work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Exact, SAP.
- Advanced MS Excel skills such as Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
- Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is preferred
- Japanese speaker is preferred but not mandatory
